Get to Meet Laelanie Larach and Biography Artistic Achievements

Hello everyone, my name is Laelanie Larach, and I was born in Honduras a lovely country located in Central America with stunning landscapes that gave me an inspiring and artistic inspiration behind my artistic career that began at a young age when I was just a little girl! I remember back in school, most of the time I was always drawing eyeballs or surreal trees in the notebooks, it helps me develop my artistic vein and, I was part of art contests that put me on the radar among other schools in Honduras. I remember that my first painting was a large surreal landscape with tall green trees and behind the trees I created mountains the blended with the waterfalls inside the jungle, that particular painting is named “Bosque Misterioso” and is my first original oil painting that I created when I was just a small girl back in Honduras, from that point I decided to continue painting several original oil paintings with a more contemporary art style that includes fairies, planets, waterfalls, butterflies and the list goes one!

Back in Honduras my source of inspiration was the lake and of course spending all day at the beach, both spots are part of my favorite locations that gave me a lot of inspiration while I was painting my colorful original oil paintings in Honduras. The lake was magical, I used sail on a small boat around the mountains and taking pictures of those stunning landscapes that are inspiring, especially when I was watching the sunset go down on the horizon. They are inspiring moments that I have in my heart and sometimes I use them on my actual art style that is completely different from my past fine art collections that I created back in Central America. Those paintings that I created back in Honduras when I was little, are part of my private fine art collection and therefore they will never be for sale because they are special original oil paintings that I created with a lot of dedication and special memories that I experienced during my childhood.

One of my favorite paintings from the artistic period is a portrait of my dog that I created with a lot of love and took me years to complete the oil painting of my beautiful angel that is now in heaven. My dog was a little bit sick, and I decided to create a unique and colorful portrait of her, that will remind me of all the beautiful times that I spent with my little angel. Therefore, that painting is super special and even if they give me millions, I will never sell it because it is special, and it has a special place in my heart. Moving on because I’m getting a little bit emotional right now, therefore I do not like to talk about that topic! At a young age I already knew that my life will be attached to the art industry, and therefore I always dream to have my own art gallery and never depend on any art gallery…. Right now, I’m the owner of Laelanie Art Gallery and my dream came true. Therefore, I only sell my own original oil paintings directly to art buyers and collectors from across the world that like my unique contemporary and abstract art style here in Miami, Florida.

That was one of my main goals to own my art gallery and create beautiful original oil paintings that reflect my love for the ocean and our natural surroundings. Therefore, I decided to leave Honduras and pursue my dream in Miami, at first, I was part of numerous art exhibitions, some galleries they were mean and other nice that open me the door to exhibit my paintings to a different audience. I did everything by myself, and I can say that I’m a multitasking person when it comes to my business, I like working alone and I’m proud to be a female gallery owner, it has always been my goal and therefore I will continue with my goals. One of my biggest wishes is to showcase my original oil paintings at a recognized museum, hopefully one day I will be able to showcase my beautiful artwork on the walls of a stunning museum.

Also, I’m proud to say that I showcased my paintings at Art Basel and numerous art fairs, all of them were solo art exhibitions and it was fun to showcase only my original oil paintings during Art Basel. It was fun because I met a lot of artists and art collectors that enjoy buying my oil paintings, some of them they bought all the paintings, or they will order a custom painting with a special art style and colors. As the time passed, my art style changed to a colorful and coastal concept that includes tropical Caribbean palm trees around a water sphere and blue ocean waves, that I like to create when I’m doing a beautiful blue coastal painting. My new art collection is all coastal with abstract ocean waves moving around a huge water sphere that sometimes turns into a bright sunset, as I mentioned before the shape of the circle has always been my favorite, and therefore you will see my water spheres on every original oil painting that I created during my artistic journey.

All my paintings are originals and hand painted with the finest oils on a thick canvas; I personally go to the art store and buy in person my favorite colors and art material along with a long list of brushes in different sizes and shapes. The entire process is fun and is inspiring when it comes to creating a unique contemporary painting with gorgeous landscapes that include ocean waves, palm trees, flowers, butterflies and even lucky eyes! My lucky eye paintings are different from other eye paintings that you see from other artists, they have a contemporary and pop art style that blend into one piece, along with bright bold colors that I like to use while I’m creating my original eye paintings that always bring me luck and prosperity. Right now, I have several eye paintings for sale, they are stunning original oil paintings that fit inside a modern home interior that likes to have a unique oil painting.

This year I was selected by the Miami Marathon to design the ribbon medal, and it was a huge honor and a lovely experience. During that time, I decided to create a unique original oil painting with palm trees and colorful ocean waves that capture the energy of Miami along with the effort of the runners during the Miami Marathon. I also took the paintings for the Miami Marathon Expo, and I was able to meet most of the runners that enjoy taking pictures of my artwork along with the ribbon medal design that I created for them.
